Maintenance Technician
Cyrus O’Leary’s Bakery | A Division of Sara Lee Frozen Bakery
Client is looking for two experienced Maintenance Technicians to help keep production equipment running at peak performance.
This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with experience in heavy industrial environments and a strong background in instrumentation automation and troubleshooting complex equipment.

About the Facility
Cyrus O’Leary’s Bakery is a non-union pie manufacturing facility operating 6 production lines across 4 departments including:
• Single-serve pies
• Fruit pies
• Cream pies
• Packaging

Shift Availability
• Monday – Thursday | 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM (1 position)
• Monday – Friday | 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (1 position)

Pay
$30.00 for day shift ad $31.00/hr for night shift.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and execute complex maintenance activities for food manufacturing equipment
• Install start up test inspect repair program tune maintain and calibrate equipment
• Maintain and troubleshoot analog and digital field devices including:
o Pressure level temperature and pH instrumentation
o Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
o Motors motor controls valves actuators and robotics
o PLCs communication systems and related automation equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair AC and DC drive systems
• Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations teams to resolve process-related issues
• Safely perform work in industrial environments including elevated platforms and confined spaces

Education & Experience
Required:
• High school diploma or GED
Preferred:
• 2-year degree in Electrical or Instrument Technology or equivalent technical experience or apprenticeship
• Experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
• Prior food manufacturing experience (preferred not required)

Skills & Qualifications
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot PLC control logic
• Familiarity with Allen Bradley GE and ABB systems preferred
• Understanding of electronic sensors for position flow and pressure
• Experience using industrial hand tools power tools and testing equipment
• Strong math verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
• Willingness to learn new equipment and technologies
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying temperatures

• Ability to safely work in an industrial/manufacturing environment
• Comfortable climbing ladders walking distances working at heights and in tight or enclosed spaces
