Job Description: Manufacturing Production Worker / Deburring Operator

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Six days per week Monday through Saturday or Sunday through Friday
• Shift: Swing Shift 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Days Off: One scheduled day off on either Saturday or Sunday as determined by the shift lead
• Expected Hours: Approximately 48 hours per week including required overtime
• Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
• Shift Differential: Additional $0.75 per hour
• Employment Type: Long-term assignment with potential for temp-to-hire

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Manufacturing Production Worker to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. The primary responsibility of this position is operating deburring wheels to remove rough edges and imperfections from metal parts. Additional duties may include assisting with other production equipment handling materials and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Training will be provided and employees are expected to learn quickly follow instructions and demonstrate consistent productivity attention to detail and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Arriving on time and ready to work each scheduled shift.
• Operating deburring wheels to smooth and finish metal parts.
• Assisting with spinning lathes and press brake equipment as needed.
• Performing basic machine operation and general production duties.
• Deburring cleaning and finishing manufactured parts.
• Inspecting finished parts for quality and consistency.
• Counting stacking organizing and moving materials and finished products.
• Following work orders bills of materials (BOMs) and production instructions.
• Maintaining a clean organized and safe work area.
• Performing light cleaning duties as needed which may include cleaning restrooms.
• Following all workplace safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position is performed in an indoor manufacturing environment that can become warm during the shift.

Candidates must be able to:

• Stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Bend reach lift and move frequently throughout the workday.
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive production tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Work safely around metal parts machinery and metal shavings.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to read and understand English-language work orders bills of materials (BOMs) and work instructions.
• Strong attendance punctuality and dependability.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and production processes.
• Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work a six-day schedule including required overtime when needed.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is helpful but not required if the candidate is willing and able to learn quickly.

Dress Code and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Appropriate work attire is required to maintain a safe and professional work environment.

Required attire:

• Shirts with sleeves that cover the shoulders.
• Durable work pants.
• Closed-toe work shoes appropriate for a manufacturing environment and extended periods of standing.

Not permitted:

• Shorts.
• Sleeveless shirts.
• Open-toed shoes.
• Transparent or inappropriate clothing.
• Loose-fitting ill-fitting or otherwise unsafe attire that could create a workplace hazard.

Steel-toe shoes are not required. Additional PPE will be provided or specified as needed for the assigned duties.

This is a fast-paced production environment where training is provided promptly and employees are expected to become productive within a reasonable timeframe. Consistent attendance a willingness to learn attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential for success.

Candidates must be comfortable working the scheduled six-day workweek and meeting production expectations while following all safety requirements.
