Graveyard Shift Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician

Monday-Friday 10:00pm-6:30am

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician performs skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance to ensure safe reliable and efficient operation of all facility equipment. This role is responsible for diagnostics repairs fabrication and preventive maintenance while supporting production teams to minimize downtime and maintain product quality. The position also provides backup support to other Maintenance Technicians across all levels.

Requirements & Qualifications

•    Associate degree in Electrical Mechanical or related technical field preferred or equivalent technical training with 2–4 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Equivalent experience may substitute for formal education. 

•    Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. 

•    High Pressure Boiler Operations Certificate and/or refrigeration systems certification preferred. 

•    Ability to read and interpret blueprints maintenance manuals schematics and technical drawings. 

•    Experience using computer-based diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments. 

•    Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues. 

•    Proficiency in basic math handbook formulas and use of measuring tools. 

•    Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 

•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 

•    Strong commitment to safety cleanliness and organization. 

•    Willingness to complete a background check and drug screen. 

•    Ability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•    Perform diagnostic tests on facility equipment to identify issues and determine corrective actions. 

•    Read and interpret blueprints schematics repair manuals and technical drawings. 

•    Dismantle repair adjust and reassemble machinery and production equipment. 

•    Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. 

•    Fabricate and weld parts as required to support repairs and equipment improvements. 

•    Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to evaluate equipment performance and operational needs. 

•    Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment supporting quality and operational standards. 

•    Provide backup support to Level C Technicians and General Maintenance Technicians. 

•    Receive support from Lead Maintenance Technicians and Level A/B Technicians as needed.

Working Conditions

•    Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise temperature changes moisture and chemicals. 

•    Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 lbs standing for extended periods and occasional bending climbing kneeling or crawling. 

•    May require occasional driving. 

•    Use of computers telephones printers copiers and other standard equipment. 

•    Required PPE includes safety glasses hearing protection coveralls hairnets/beard nets and additional protective gear as required. 

•    Loose clothing and jewelry are not permitted in production areas.

•    No allowed to have your cell phone out while on the floor.
