Machine Operator – 2nd Shift
Pay: $20.50/hour + $1.50/hour shift differential
Schedule: Monday–Thursday 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM
Overtime: Fridays as needed and approved by management
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and safety-minded Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. In this role you will set up operate and monitor industrial machinery to produce high-quality metal components while ensuring production goals quality standards and safety requirements are met. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude pays close attention to detail and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Set up operate and monitor manufacturing equipment according to work instructions and production schedules.

Perform machine changeovers and make basic machine adjustments as needed.

Inspect finished products using measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met.

Read and interpret blueprints work orders and production specifications.

Accurately record production data and complete required documentation.
-
Identify and report equipment issues production concerns or quality defects.
-
Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
-
Follow all company safety policies procedures and quality standards.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety quality and production efficiency.

Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily production goals.

Machine Operators may work with a variety of industrial manufacturing equipment including:

1500-Ton Rolling Mill
-
Circle Cutting Grob Saws
-
Vertical and Horizontal Band Saws
-
Automated Drill Press
-
3000-Ton Forge
-
Conventional Hot Ovens and Furnaces
-
100- and 150-Ton Presses
-
Refining Deep Tanks
-
Copper Plate Shear
Qualifications
-
Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
-
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to read blueprints and follow written work instructions.

Experience using calipers micrometers or other precision measuring instruments preferred.

Basic math skills for measurements and machine offset adjustments.
-
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds throughout the shift.

Ability to stand walk bend reach and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery heat and noise.

Ability to safely perform all essential job functions while meeting production expectations.
