CNC Machinist Level 2 – Lathe 

Pay Rate: $29.50/hour
Shift: Monday – Thursday 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Level 2 with a strong background operating CNC lathes and mills. This position is responsible for machining precision metal components assembling parts into sub-assemblies or finished products and ensuring all work meets blueprint specifications and tolerance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC equipment reading technical drawings and maintaining quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC lathes and CNC mills to machine precision metal components
• Set up machines load materials and perform routine adjustments as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools and inspection equipment
• Assemble machined components into sub-assemblies or completed units
• Perform basic troubleshooting and support continuous production flow
• Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2–4 years of CNC machining experience specifically with lathes and mills
• Strong blueprint reading and mechanical aptitude
• Experience working with precision measurements and tolerances
• Apprenticeship or formal machining training preferred
• Ability to work under direct supervision and follow established procedures

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Regular lifting up to 30 lbs
• Moderate machine operation in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Exposure to machinery noise and potential chemical or physical hazards
• May operate powered industrial equipment as needed
• Standing bending and repetitive motion throughout the shift may be required
